Tom Welling was born on April 26, 1977 in New York. He went to high school at Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan, where he graduated in 1995.
Tom did some modeling for the Louisa Modeling agency and then got his first big break, playing "Rob the karate instructor" in several episodes of CBS's Judging Amy during the 2000-2001 season. He also has made appearances on UPN's Special Unit 2 and FOX's Undeclared.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends, and running. Tom got married to his wife, Jamie, in Summer 2002.

Erica Durance, aged 26, is one of Smallville's newest additions, appearing as Lois Lane in 13 episodes of the show's fourth season.
Also sometimes credited as Erica Parker, she has appeared in episodes of Andromeda and The Chris Isaak Show. She was also in the movie "House of the Dead."
"Of all the different female leads in comics, Lois Lane was always my favorite because she was so involved," she said in a New York Post interview. "She was always so involved in everything going on — she's a go-getter, she was really in there, quite tough and kind of a hero in her own right."

Kristin Kreuk was born on December 30, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was "discovered" during her senior year of high school, when she was chosen for the role of Laurel in the CBC series Edgemont.
Kristin still resides in Vancouver, and in addition to appearing regularly on Smallville, she still continues her role on Edgemont. She enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with her friends and family. You can also see Kristin on ads for Neutrogena. She has also been featured in many magazines such as FHM.

Allison Mack was born on July 29 in Germany and moved to Southern California at the age of 2. Her acting career began at age 4 with some commercials and print advertising. At 7, she began studying at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles.
Allison has accumulated many credits in movies and television in the years since. She's guest starred on TV programs like 7th Heaven and Providence. An episode of the short-lived series Kate Brasher in early 2001 featured Allison prominently. She's also been in many movies, like Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves and Camp Nowhere; and she's been a regular in a few TV programs, most recently The Opposite Sex in the summer of 2001 (Also on that series was Gilmore Girls' Milo Ventimiglia!). She also appeared in the 2001 TV-movie My Horrible Year. Allison was also seen alongside Sam Jones III (Pete Ross) in an episode of the Kids WB! series The Nightmare Room.

Michael Rosenbaum was born on July 11, 1972 in Oceanside, Long Island, New York, and raised in Indiana. He first got the acting bug doing high school plays and then did productions at Western Kentucky University. He first got widespread notice as one of the "Amsterdam Kids" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Michael enjoys ice hockey, and yes, he did shave his head for the role of Lex Luthor. He has also been keeping quite busy -- in addition to appearing as Lex in Smallville, Michael is doing several movies, he is the voice of Wally West/The Flash in the Justice League animated series.

John Glover was a part of the Smallville cast for the first season, but didn't join as a regular until the 2002-2003 year.
Born in Salisbury, Maryland, Glover is a noted actor in many fields, including movies, television, and theater. One of his most memorable roles was playing the Devil in Brimstone.

Jensen Ackles is said to have once auditioned for the role of Clark Kent for Smallville back in late 2000. Obviously, he did not get the role. Now, he joins Smallville with its fourth season as Jason Teague, a young man Lana meets on her journey to Paris.
You might remember Jensen as "C.J." on Dawson's Creek or as "Alec" on Season Two of Dark Angel. He starred in a series for FOX titled Still Life that was supposed to become a midseason series, but obviously never materialized. Soap fans remember Jensen for several years as "Eric Brady" on Days of our Lives.

Annette O'Toole is no stranger to Superman fans. In 1983 she played the role of "Lana Lang" alongside Christopher Reeve in Superman III. A big Superman fan, Annette came into the part of Martha to replace Cynthia Ettinger, who played her in the Smallville pilot.
Annette was born in Houston, Texas, and began acting at a very young age doing guest appearances in shows like My Three Sons, The Partridge Family, and The Virginian. Her first major movie role was in the film 48 Hours playing the girlfriend of Nick Nolte's character. The Cat People and Superman III came soon after. She had recurring roles in Nash Bridges and appeared on the USA Network series The Huntress during the 2000-2001 season. She has also done many theater productions.
Annette is married to Lenny actor Michael McKean. The song "A Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow," written for "A Mighty Wind," was nominated for an Oscar!

John Schneider was born in 1954 in Snailville ( ;D ), Georgia. Or so the legend goes, when John auditioned for the role of "Bo Duke" on the popular TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. The producers were looking for a 24-year-old from the South. At the time, John (born in 1960) was only 18 years old and hailed from Mt. Kisco, New York. John's ruse worked, however; and he got the role of the blond Duke cousin, a role that made him famous.
After The Dukes John launched a very successful country music career. He still sings in concerts, such as at the Memorial Day Concert at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. this year. John also was the co-founder of the Children's Miracle Network which holds telethons every year to help children's hospitals. He's also a strong supporter of family-oriented programming.
