As is obvious most threads are now filled with arguements which are very much off topic so I decided to make a seperate thread for it, actually Frances suggested it.
Whether you feel the need to defend that tissue paper tastes better than cotton candy or you want to prove to the whole world that you are much prettier than Angelina Jolie (which I most likely will ;D), then go on and post your statement / question / opinion here. But keep in mind ANYTHING you post here is open to discussion so don't go bawling like a baby when someone disagrees with you. If you're sensitive like so, kumain ka nlang ng bulak dyan sa tabi paksheet!

there's nothing to argue about the second one really.. obviously that's a joke.
i'm after your being a fan of Jolie, thinking she's so pretty.. i hafta agree.. that's actually the reason why Brad pick her over Jenny.. poor jenny.

Maganda lahat nung topics mo! Galeng! Lahat nalang yan discuss naten. Isa-isa nga lang. Yung about sa SAME SEX MARRIAGE / HOMOSEXUALITY muna. Ok here's my stand on the issue. Tsk tsk mahirap to. Here goes nothing. -------------------------- I am against same sex marriage. Totally against it. Although I'm not entirely against homosexuals, I mean I have gay friends, that proves much. What I am not in favor of is the way people keep insisting that being homosexual is not of choice and is morally, socially proper and that one should not hold it against a gay person his/her choice to be of the 3rd sex. Here are my reasons:
1.) Let me cite this ridiculous quote as example:
"From a religious point of view, if God had thought homosexuality is a sin, he would not have created gay people." --Howard Dean
Key-word: FREEWILL. God never created gays. It was by choice that homoseuxals exist today.
2.) Never blame the situation you are in for your decisions. It's immature to say that nothing was within your control, and you are just some victim of cruel consequences, if you want to be dramatic. You always always ALWAYS have a choice. Don't make some sad excuse to cover up your bad desicions.
3.) If by some tragic twist of fate you were born with gay tendencies sans outside influences (gene alteration - infant with woman mindset but physical appearance of the male specie), it still doesn't justify your gay-ness. The mind is a powerful weapon, you can make it work with or against you. If you have the will, you can overcome the urge to be gay. A difficult task but not a hopeless endeavor.
4.) Let's get scientific. Humans are at the top of animal kingdom in terms of mental abilities, correct? Lower forms of animals solely depend on instincts to deal with their everyday life. A Spider for example is born with a pre-programed instinct to weave webs and eat whatever gets caught in it (web). Moving higher in the pyramid, Lions aren't as robotic as Spiders. Although they still count on their insticts heavily, they are faced with choices. Even if they are governed with 3 basic needs - to eat, to mate and to sleep, they don't go about these things mindlessly. I mean they don't eat their own kind except when extremely hungry. They choose Lionesses who are outstanding runners to act as their herd's main hunter. As you go higher in the animal kingdom ladder, the depency on insticts lessens. So it goes to say that Humans are driven by choice not by impulsive animalistic behavior.

I've read countless news articles saying that same sex marriage is not wrong and should be socially accepted, even calling heterosexuals close-minded and stupid. Their reason? They say that those against gay marriage are morons since they approve of divorce yet are repulsed by homosexual unity. And that if marriage is such a sacred ceremony why do the society readily accept divorcees then shun gay couples. They do have a point, that our social standards seem hypocritical but their reasoning is childish still. What, so they want to correct a wrong by commiting another wrong? Parang bata, sasabihing ok lang mag-yosi kasi si papa nga nagsa-shabu pa eh. Ang bobo diba? Such immature reasoning. Not to mention sanctifying same sex marriage is altering the cycle of life! Paano magrereproduce kung same sex! Ugh! Truly the world is drowning in perversity - attempting to cloak a sin with deceptive innocence.
You might be asking how come I have gay friends if I'm so much against homosexuality? I can read minds yah know, you think pina-plastic ko lang sila, right? Wrong! It's just that even if I see homosexuality as a sin I don't use it as a basis in dealing with people. Misled maybe, but gays are still human, still in need of companionship. If you think I'm tolerating their desicion to be gays, I'm not. I'm just giving them the freedom they are due. Inshort, I'm not against the person, I'm against what they are doing. That's why the issue of being gay doesn't stop me from being friends with them. They chose to be that way, then let them. I'm not in the position to force them to change. All I can do is state facts then it's up to them if they'll be swayed by it or not. Just a matter of choice. I hate being forced to do something so I assume that people dislike it as well, so that's what I do. Lecture them but give them a choice, I don't shove it down their throats. If they enjoy being gay, let them, buhay nila yan eh. Live and let live. A selfish motto it may seem, showing that you only care for your self, but that's me. I just don't seem to care. Maybe someday I will, you might even see me on TV endlessly advocating anti-gay movements. ;D But presently I'm not doing such stupid stunts so yeah you guys can relax.

i agree completely.. i agree that everyone has freewill.. that one's mind is powerful than any other thing.. i agree to every word u typed actually ... but there are things which seems powerful than the mind at the moment but not really and u will only realise that later on.. there are things which seems uncontrollable at the moment but is not really.. only u'r about realise it when u'r blown away.. there are natural urges that seems "natural" (  ;D) unexplainable at the moment but not really 'cuz it is not "natural" eventually. my keyword: DECEPTION like wat they say.. you say.. IT is a sin. we want to avoid it.. with the MIND we can.. but then again something SEEMS the other way around and u'r not bound to know it. 'dyou get me? |

the issue of "whose fault it is" is totally an earworm to me.. just like those Lito f*cking Camo novelties.. it's lame. even though you were a victim of it all your life, and u have all the excuses.. it still is lame.. instead burning down calories thinking about hus to blame, reserve it for the planning of the rest of ur life.

Exactly! Especially when having to deal with what other people would say. I think people boasting that they don't care about what other people think is BS. I mean were practicaly defined by other people's impression of us. I am. Like when people sometimes say that they 'think' you're a snob, you subconsciously inherit that thinking, then without knowin it you kinda act on it then ultimately become it. It takes a lot of will to dispel those kinda impressions and remain your true self.  Also in that regard, society has always been relentless in reminding us of our past transgressions - do somethin wrong and you'd be stuck with it forever. It's so unfair sometimes especially when you're set on changin and startin anew, sooooo frustrating. Life's a bitch, really. People and their endless gossip is like a 3 ft poker up your ass tsk tsk Blaming other people of your own misfortunes has always been a pet peeve of mine, pisses me off to no end. Like when folks turn on the tearjerkin bullshit and whine about this and that, tangna badtrip! I mean we all have problems, why do some people find it fascinating to whine about it, like ALL. THE. EFFING. TIME then at the same time blame other poeple for it. They do that for what, to elicit sympthy? I mean we all hurt at some point what makes you so special db? I've always believed in the thinking that it isn't your fault if you were born poor but it definitely is if you die one. Makes sense db? BTW, speaking of the Lito Camo.
